biography

Tranceducer isn't just your average, run of the mill vinyl seducer or party producer. No no no. this is a man with an unrivalled passion and motivation that is only matched by his innovation and unique vision. This combination of determination, innovation and professionalism has resulted in a success story rarely experienced by one so young. At just 26, Tranceducer (aka Trent Stewart) is the proud owner of his own business Virus Light and Sound and two websites (tranceducer.com & viruslightandsound.com).

Since bursting onto Queensland's dance scene in 04 Tranceducer has held countless dj residencies and plays guest spots at some of Qld's bigger clubs, events and festivals. Some of which include the Advent*jah festivals, Mayhem festivals, Earthcore carnivals, System 6, Slinky, Gatecrasher, Godspeed, Family nightclub etc. and over the years has played support for some of the hottest international heroes of trance and hard dance, names such as M.I.K.E., John O'Callaghan, Martin Roth (YOMC), Flutlicht, Shokk, Agnelli & Nelson, Captain Tinrib, Max Alien, Karim, Yoji Biomehanika, James Lawson, Lab 4, Kevin Energy, Warp Bros, Steve Hill and Alex Kidd to name a few.

However, 2007 has seen Tranceducer momentarily slow down and take a step back from his musical passion and dj'ing, to focus and concentrate on his business: Virus Light and Sound... Virus Light and Sound is Tranceducer's rental business hiring all sorts of dj gear, sound systems, lighting, projection gear, decor and heaps of other cool stuff! Now that the Virus Light and Sound biz is up and sailing smoothly along Tranceducer's ready to tackle 08 and rock dancefloors fresh and over again!

Today, Tranceducer's styles and tastes have diversified into more of a mature, articulate blend of sophisticated beats. Playing, mixing and incorporating styles from progressive tech house, techno, tech trance, trance and even psychedelic prog when the occasion calls.

Through any of Tranceducer's dj sets, it is likely you'll hear tracks and remixes from any of his favourite artists, who he also takes great influence from. Artists such as, in no particular order: Leon Bolier, Mike Koglin, Richard Durand, Sander Van Doorn, Signum, Ronski Speed, Ferry Corsten, Wippenberg, Armin Van Buuren, M.I.K.E., John O'Callaghan, Eddie Halliwell, Markus Schulz, Alex Morph, Cosmic Gate, Ronald Van Gelderen, Kyau vs Abert, Aly & Fila, Sean Tyas and a vast variety more...

This journey into the hearts and minds of dance punters across Queensland has occurred to the sounds of thunderous basslines and uplifting melodies. An enveloping sound that assaults the senses. A sound that begs your heart to beat just that little bit faster. A sound that compels your body to dance just that little bit harder. A sound that leaves you gasping for more. A sound that is uniquely Tranceducer!!
